Welcome to A Rising Change Counseling & Consulting

I’m Savannah Helton, LCSW, a clinical social worker & licensed therapist in Missouri with over 15 years of experience in various clinical settings: non-profits, academic medicine, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital units & emergency rooms.

I founded A Rising Change to provide individual mental health treatment to fellow members of the communities that have always held me: women & queer people.

Therapy with A Rising Change can help if you: ‍ ‍

  • desire personal change or need support navigating life, role or identity transitions

  • experience depression, anxiety, chronic illness or grief

  • feel the hostile sociopolitical climate negatively impacting your health, relationships & your human rights

  • feel your relationship to yourself, your sexuality or your identity changing

  • are experiencing mood changes during pregnancy or postpartum

  • want to explore existential questions: What is my purpose? What do I really want out of life?

It can be difficult to ask for help & to find a therapist when you’re already not doing so well.

I am so glad you are here.

“You can fall, but you can rise also.”
