Feminist therapy for women exactly as they are.
Virtual therapy for women, anywhere in Missouri.
Claim an affirming space of your own to finally exhale & sift through everything you’re carrying.
care. connection. change.
If you feel overwhelmed, isolated or disconnected, you’re not alone. When you’re not sure where to turn, a safe therapeutic relationship can offer the care and connection you need to make the changes you want to see in your life & in your world.
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Savannah (she/her) a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & queer therapist. I specialize in working with overburdened women seeking a new way forward.
All of my work is grounded in an intersectional feminist framework, which means before we even meet, I come with the understanding that you, your symptoms & your struggles do not exist in a vacuum. Family systems, social pressure, cultural messages & political structures all impact your mood, body, life circumstances & day-to-day experiences; it’s not all on you.

To do lists that never end? Journals with good intentions and 3 entries? Overwhelmed by the state of the world?
It’s time to stop doing it alone.
Let’s figure it out together.
We’re a good match if:
You are overwhelmed by the “mental load” of life & under too much pressure to keep it all together.
The hostile & dangerous political climate is negatively impacting you, your loved ones or your communities.
You are questioning your sexuality or gender identity & need a safe place to explore what this means for you.
Your inner voice is harsh, but you really want to improve your body image or self-esteem.
You are experiencing mood changes or other difficulties during pregnancy or the postpartum period.
You experience depression or anxiety symptoms or are living with chronic illness or grief.
Existential questions are on your mind: What is my purpose? What do I really want out of life? Do I live life in accordance with my values?
-
Video-call sessions allow us to work together from anywhere you call home in Missouri. I see women from all over the state: in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Joplin, Cape Girardeau, Columbia, and rural areas as well.
-
Our work together is flexible enough to go where you need it to go. We’ll explore your immediate concerns & symptoms, identify & examine patterns & also zoom out to ask: what do you actually want versus what is expected of you? What truly matters to you rather than what you’ve been told is important? With managed symptoms & increased insight, you’ll develop a new sense of agency over your own life, grounded in confidence & self-compassion.
-
I prioritize privacy, flexibility, and providing you with autonomy over your care. I consciously choose to be an out-of-network provider, so that you’re in the driver’s seat of your healing, without the insurance system dictating your treatment.
In our sessions, we’ll build a relational alliance where humor and curiosity will help you process our harsh world.
Feminist psychotherapy views mental health through a system-level lens, recognizing that many "symptoms" are, in fact, logical responses to oppressive environments or dysfunctional family patterns. Imagine reclaiming your life in a way that honors your needs & your actual capacity over societal output.
"You can fall, but you can rise also."

Centering your mental & emotional health.
I founded A Rising Change with the intention to support fellow members of the communities that have always held me: women & queer people. We carry a huge emotional load, both for those in our lives and the world at large, but often we are left feeling unseen, unheard, unappreciated or undervalued. Here, you are the priority.
