We live in a world that doesn’t honor queer women's identities, sexualities & experiences. It is exhausting.
Queer & questioning women deserve competent, queer providers who are knowledgeable about the specific mental health and relational challenges we face. I offer an affirming space for you to show up & exist as you are, no explanation needed.

We’re more open now about the reality that pregnancy & early parenthood bring major life changes & mixed emotions. But it is not generally well known that Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are the most common complication of pregnancy. Grandma sure didn’t talk about it, but we can.
-
A lifetime consumed by trying to get or stay small can create some pretty big feelings. If you’re wondering what your world would be like if you could redirect some or all of that mental energy, then let’s find out.
-
How do you set limits & prioritize your needs when you’re stuck always accommodating everyone else first? It’s a tricky spot to be in. Let’s explore the underpinnings of how you got here, how people-pleasing affects you & what changes you’d like to see.
-
Your only responsibility here is to yourself: to show up, to allow yourself to be seen, heard & understood. I got you.
-
Feeling down, unlike yourself or very stressed out and anxious are typically perfectly understandable and logical reactions to stressors, but that doesn’t make them comfortable or functional for you.
Gaining regular, consistent support and learning practical tools for symptoms can be a big help in managing the day-to-day & coping with the bigger things that come your way, too.

The pain of the past is often present. Attachment trauma or injury can occur early in life if you had inconsistent, neglectful or abusive caregivers. It can also happen within adult relationships, and sometimes it’s so heavy it feels like an anchor weighing you down.
These attachment wounds (abuse, neglect, trauma, infidelity or betrayal) shake our foundations, making us question our beliefs about ourselves, others and the world. Together, we’ll process that pain, and discover new, healthier responses to move forward.
This is not an exhaustive list, if you feel we may be a good fit to work together, reach out.
First and foremost, I value a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and center you as the expert in your own experiences, which positions us as partners in your therapy process. We are a team.
I utilize intersectional feminist & liberatory frameworks—rejecting the tired, shame-filled question, “what’s wrong with you?” Instead, we’ll identify & examine how systemic pressures are affecting your life, behaviors & your mental health. Using this lens, a new path forward emerges.
My approach:
In practice, this could look like examining the psychological damage & harmful behaviors caused by internalizing cultural messages like: “thinness equals health/beauty” or “productivity determines worth.” Untangling the ways these messages & systems affect your mind and impact your functioning is a powerful catalyst toward living a more fulfilling & authentic life.
My work is trauma-informed, attachment-based, strengths-based, and I’m a Health at Every Size provider. I employ evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT & mindfulness skill building which can offer relief from more acute symptoms/distress, as needed.
You deserve a supportive, confidential space to process everything you’re managing.
Who I See:
For women carrying the full load of emotional labor in your relationships, expected to work as if you have no other responsibilities, struggling to balance everything on your plate, and reevaluating how you show up for yourself—let’s figure it out together.

Feminist Therapy is a psychotherapy approach that evaluates psychological distress through the lens of societal, cultural, and political power imbalances. Feminist Therapy considers personal struggles not as individual mental defects, but as normal responses to oppressive environmental and social conditions like sexism, racism, classism, homophobia, ableism and capitalism.
Feminist Therapy aims to build insight, self-esteem, self-efficacy, and increase the client’s sense of agency in their own life & in society at large.

You might have a particular concern bringing you to therapy, but you might need help figuring out where to start. I am here to listen & follow your lead, working at your pace with whatever comes. You are the expert in your own experiences, which positions us as partners in your therapy process. We are a team.
Often therapy begins by considering ways to improve your most distressing symptoms so you can begin to feel better in your day-to day life. With practice & support along the way, you’ll build skills & perspective to help you navigate your future challenges with an increased inner-sense of calm, control & confidence.
As our relationship develops over time, I will provide observations & feedback to disrupt long-standing behavior patterns or themes that concern or impact you. We’ll talk about the systems we operate within & examine how they impact your life’s experiences. In doing so, we’ll also have the opportunity to explore & clarify your value systems so you can actively create more meaning, purpose or joy in your life.
-
It is recommended to meet at least once per week after the initiation of therapy. Depending on the concerns bringing you to therapy, I recommend making an initial investment of attending regularly scheduled appointments for at least 3-4 months.
A few meetings simply does not give us enough time to build the rapport & trust needed to explore your background in-depth & help you make major shifts in your life.
Some clients prefer short-term therapy for around 3-6 months to address one particular issue or circumstance. Then having “maintenance” sessions less frequently once they start feeling better. Others prefer to have ongoing support to work on deeper issues for a year or beyond. It is up to you.
We will discuss your expectations & goals in the first meeting as well as check in about the trajectory & goals of our work together as we continue.
-
At this time, only virtual sessions are available. I accept clients statewide across Missouri.
-
I see clients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and on Saturday mornings.

Artificial intelligence ("AI") has not, nor will it ever, be used in or out of sessions related to your clinical work. Some therapists are beginning to use note taking software that records sessions and utilizes AI; however, I am vehemently opposed to this, and as such, it will never be utilized in our work together.
